Welcome Message by Conference Chair

  • Dear Esteemed Guests and Participants,

On behalf of the organizing committee, it is my privilege to extend a heartfelt welcome to WSESA-2025, the World Summit on Environmental Science and Applications, taking place from March 27-29, 2025 in Paric, France.

Industrialization having been promoted from the 18th century has improved material affluence, and also has deteriorated the original quality of nature. This implies that humans are beneficiaries and victims of industrialization because nature can exist without humans, but humans can’t survive without nature. This means that humans have committed a self-contradiction.

In order to solve the self-contradiction, the Earth Environment Summit 1992 has adopted sustainable development as the ideology and practice of the present and future socio-economic development toward the coexistence between humans and nature at a global level. Nonetheless, environmental problems caused by human intervention in nature are still challenging us. This is evidenced from climate change being got worse, ozone depletion, and natural disasters, etc.

The theme of WSESA-2055, Environmental Science and Applications is a core means to achieve sustainable development through a logical and technical approach, good problem-solving, creative abilities, and a mathematical and scientific mind. In such a context, it is no doubt that WSESA-2025 will be directly a significant and important platform for advancing the knowledge of this field through presentation and discussions, but indirectly for contributing to sustainable development at a global level through providing the advanced knowledge applicable to the field.

We are deeply honored to host the distinguished assembly of experts, policymakers, enterprisers, NGOs, and thought leaders, etc. who will contribute their invaluable insights.

    With warm regards,

    Prof and Dr. Dai-Yeun Jeong
Director of Asia Climate Change Education Center, South Korea
Emeritus Professor at Jeju National University, South Korea
