Dr. THEOGENE is an International Special Research Assistant at the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He earned his master's degree in 2019 from China University of Geosciences (Beijing) and completed his Ph.D. in Environmental Science in 2023 at University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. Dr. THEOGENE is renowned for his significant contributions to environmental science, particularly in the study of micro- and nano-plastics. His scholarly work has been published in high-impact journals including Science of the Total Environment, Environmental Science: Nano, Ecotoxicology and Environmental Safety, and Environmental International. Currently, he leads groundbreaking research focused on developing innovative methodologies for detecting and quantifying nano-plastics in biological samples. This critical research aims to enhance our understanding of nano-plastic contamination and its effects on biota, addressing crucial gaps in environmental toxicology. By devising more sensitive and precise detection techniques, Dr. THEOGENE seeks to provide environmental scientists and policymakers with essential tools to evaluate the ecological risks associated with nano-plastic pollution, thereby potentially driving significant advancements in environmental protection and sustainability efforts.
