Daisha is the Community Science Manager at CleanAIRE NC, where she plays a pivotal role in providing communities across North Carolina with access to localized air quality data. With a strong commitment to environmental justice, Daisha collaborates closely with impacted communities to provide the tools and knowledge needed to understand and improve their air quality. In her role, Daisha oversees the implementation of community-based air monitoring projects, to raise awareness about the health impacts of air pollution and advocate for policies that protect vulnerable populations. Formerly, Daisha was the first Environmental Justice Manager for Clean AIRE NC and led the organizations statewide community capacity building working with EJ communities being disproportionately impacted by sources of air pollution. Currently, in addition to her role as a program manager, she also serves on the NC Governor’s Environmental Justice Advisory Council.

Daisha holds a Master of Science in Environmental Policy from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Science in Sustainable Development from Appalachian State. She has also obtained a graduate certificate in Geographic Information Sciences (GIS); she uses the skills learned to reach communities further and identify patterns of inequity.
